Above All Software part of sforce initiative to extend salesforce.com

Partnerships with founding developers demonstrate diversified new uses of client/service application development platform

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - June 3, 2025 - Salesforce.comŽ, the world leader in delivering software-as-service, today launched sforce, the salesforce.com client/service application development utility, and announced more than twenty-five Founding Developers pioneering the use of the product to create new software-as-service applications. Launched in conjunction with BEA Systems (NASDAQ: BEAS), Borland (NASDAQ: BORL), Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), and Sun (NASDAQ: SUNW), sforce is rapidly becoming the platform of choice for such development (see corresponding release "Salesforce.com Announces sforce, First Client/Service Application Development Utility"). Tonight, eleven unique Founding Developers will exhibit the applications they have already built to demonstrate how sforce extends salesforce.com to enhance existing applications and create new web services built on salesforce.com's infrastructure.

@Ware, Above All Software, Angel.com, Aspire Technologies, Inc., AvantGo, Blue Martini, Blue Wolf Group, Business Objects (NASDAQ: BOBJ), DreamFactory Software, Echopass, and Grand Central Communications will be present as sforce Founding Developers at the sforce launch event tonight, June 3, 2003, at the Grand Havana Room in New York City. In addition, Allerez, Cape Clear, Data Junction, Dejima, Digital Impact, eBridge Software, Eloqua, Entopia, ExactTarget, GotMarketing, ihance, LTP Trade, PST Software, QuickArrow, TenDigits, Vertical Response and more join with salesforce.com in the same capacity.

Using the same utility computing model as salesforce.com, sforce provides services that developers need to build business applications directly over the Internet. Sforce enables enterprises to drive sophisticated business processes as a Web-based service for a monthly per-user fee. Developers can build applications on the sforce architecture using the tools they already know, leveraging the power of Web services standards.

"Business Objects is proud to be a salesforce.com partner and founding developer of sforce, working to bring the benefits of business intelligence to salesforce.com customers," said Dave Kellogg, senior group vice president of worldwide marketing at Business Objects. "Using solutions from Business Objects, salesforce.com customers can enhance the reporting capabilities native to salesforce.com and produce world-class analytic solutions to drive improvements in enterprise performance. Through the sforce initiative, a new paradigm has been introduced to build and deliver applications at a lower cost and greater ease than previously available."

With support from the world's leading tools vendors and the proven reliability of salesforce.com's architecture, sforce combines the established market for software-as-service represented by 90,000 successful salesforce.com users with the capabilities and skills of five million .NET and Java developers. Enterprise application developers now have a new way to extend salesforce.com and build their own software-as-service solutions.

"We are thrilled to have the validation of these developers demonstrating how to build applications using sforce," said salesforce.com chairman and CEO Marc Benioff. "Without deploying traditional software servers, these developers can provide applications directly to their customers, exemplifying diversified new uses of the client/service application development platform we are providing."

Sforce is now available at www.sforce.com. Deployment is $50/end user/month, plus $1/MB/month with the first three users and 10 MB are free for the first year.
