Welcome
to our November-December newsletter to help you keep up with the rapidly evolving SOA market.

Hi, I’m Jon Temple, President and CEO of Above All Software

SOA―is it worth it?
This is the fundamental question that business managers and IT leaders ultimately ask themselves before they fully embrace service oriented architecture.

The technical benefits may seem clear, but what is the ROI for SOA and composite applications versus more traditional integration methods?

Historical data is hard to come by, so we asked Josh Greenbaum, an independent consultant with Enterprise Applications Solutions, to answer these questions.

You can read his analysis is this new white paper:  Return on Investment for Composite Applications and Service Oriented Architectures

According to Greenbaum, there are four key areas to consider when determining the ROI on an SOA and composite applications investment.

  1. Development
  2. Deployment
  3. User interaction
  4. IT extension

Next, Greenbaum uses accepted ROI models for development and integration for an in-depth analysis of whether SOA can provide incremental ROI.

Greenbaum's conclusion? Using the SOA principles such as reusability and redeployment for composite applications development can cost 35% per year less than traditional integration methodologies.

Download this white paper today , compliments of Above All Software. Learn how you can measure ROI and determine if embracing an SOA and building composite applications is right for your organization.
