Above All Launches Their First AppExchange Solution—Called SAP Order Management

Now companies can easily integrate their SAP order information with their salesforce.com application. Sales reps and account managers can close sales more quickly with streamlined processes as well as leverage information about customer buying patterns that resides in SAP to up-sell and cross-sell new products.

From a single screen within the salesforce.com user interface, an account manager can:

  • Create an SAP customer and sales order
  • View order history and update current orders

Information is automatically synchronized across the two systems, expediting the sales process and eliminating the need for separate login and order entry to SAP.

Best of all, the capability to integrate functionality with salesforce.com extends to almost any other process or application within the enterprise.

Arris Streamlines Sales Forecasting with a Composite Application Integrating Three Applications—Jointly Delivered by MomentumSI and Above All

This month we are featuring Above All Software Solution Partner, MomentumSI, a systems integrator well versed in SOA. Above All asked them to collaborate on the implementation of a composite application for Arris International, an international communications technology company that manufactures broadband network system products and solutions.

Challenge

Arris needed to streamline their sales forecasting so sales people could spend more time selling and management could get an accurate picture of the sales pipeline.

Sales had to access three different systems - salesforce.com for opportunities with a close probability of less that 80%, Applix TM-1 once opportunities reached 80%, and PeopleSoft Financials to get customer order histories.
 
TM1 is a complex system, tightly controlled by finance, and sales had access to it for forecasting for only a short period each month, restricting their availability to make sales calls. And correlating the data between salesforce.com and TM1 could not be accomplished without extensive manual data analysis. Additionally, they had data integrity issues and real workflow efficiency problems for the sales force. Bottom line, sales wasn't spending enough time selling.

Solution

MomentumSI and Above All teamed up, developed a new work flow and split the tasks for building a composite application for Arris that uses salesforce.com as the single user interface. Now the sales reps can view past sales history from PeopleSoft, and automatically migrate their pipeline from salesforce.com to TM-1 when the close probability reaches 80%.
