Above All Composite Application Platform 4.0 provides significant new
functionality to enable customers to rapidly align their key business processes
and requirements with their information assets. As part of our Mine, Refine,
Assemble and Deploy methodology, the 4.0 release further simplifies and automates
how companies implement composite applications, typically in the context of a
service-oriented architecture.
Mine: Above All 4.0 includes new Knowledge Packs for Siebel and SAP.
This software allows you to rapidly glean detailed meta-data about your
instance of Siebel and SAP and automatically refine application-specific
objects and operations into business services that are stored in our SOA Repository.
Refine: With the improved modeling capabilities in Above All Studio,
you can visually refine Web and other services into fit-for-purpose
business services that are designed to perform a certain task or activity.
These business services can act as atomic services and represent data and
business logic that cut across multiple applications and systems.
Assemble: With the improved user interface generation support in Above
All Studio, you can leverage meta-data created during mining and refinement
to quickly assemble more effective composite applications.
Deploy: In addition to assembling your business services into composite
application for deployment to Web, rich, mobile and portal clients, you can
now, with the new Above All Composite Server, deploy your assembled business
services into WS-I compliant Web services for consumption by any third-party
tool or BPM solution. You can add your own business logic or custom user
interface to these assembled business services before deploying them out to
your end-users. In addition to supporting the .NET platform, Above All will
also provide Java Platform, Enterprise Edition support in the 4th quarter of 2005.
